LAFAYETTE, Louisiana — The Little Rock men's golf team had a successful first two rounds on the course this morning, finishing in fourth place heading into the final round of the Louisiana Classics tomorrow, after posting a strong performance at Oakbourne Country Club.

Archie Smith had a great first round, shooting a two-round score of 68 and 73 for 1-over, tying for ninth overall. Senior
Matteo Cristoni had an impressive comeback in the second round, shooting 74 and 68 to go 2-under (142), placing just outside the top ten in 13th position.
Freshman
Freddie Turnell had a consistent day, shooting 72 and 71 to finish at 1-under (143), tying for 14th place.
Rhett South opened the morning with a 77 and improved in the afternoon with a 74, placing him at 7-over and tied for 54th heading into the final round tomorrow. Freshman
Alexander Rowland shot 77 and 76 (9-over), finishing in 64th place to round out the Trojans for the day.
Individually,
Ed Featherstone is part of a group tied for 28th at 2-over par (146) after rounds of 72 and 74.
The Trojans fired rounds of 291 and 286 for a two-round total of 1-over total of 577. They sit eight strokes out of the Top 3. LSU holds the top spot at 15-under (561), followed by Texas A&M at 12-under (564) and Louisiana at 7-under (569).
The final round is set for a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start, with tee times off #1 and #10. Coverage begins on ESPN+ at 9 a.m. CDT.
