Little Rock Men's Golf Opens Competition at Louisiana Classic This Week

LAFAYETTE, LA. - The Little Rock men's golf team will compete Monday and Tuesday at the 40th Annual Louisiana Classics, marking another key tournament in their spring season. The event will take place at Oakbourne Country Club in Lafayette, Louisiana, a course that has a rich history, having hosted the PGA Tour's Cajun Classic for 11 years in its early years. Tee times on Monday are set for 8 a.m., with Tuesday's final round teeing off at 7:30 a.m.

Monday will feature two 18-hole rounds with a shotgun start at 8 a.m., while Tuesday will have tee times off both #1 and #10 for the final round. The lead teams will start on #10 to finish on #9, the main televised hole. The final round will be broadcast live on ESPN+ starting at 9 a.m. CDT. Coverage will include interviews with coaches, a reporter on course, and continuous updates until the conclusion of the round around 2 p.m.

The Louisiana Classics ranks as the 10th-oldest tournament in the nation, behind events like the Western Intercollegiate (78 years) and the Border Olympics (75 years).
