IOWA CITY, IA. – Little Rock took fourth place at the Hawkeye Invite that wrapped up Monday at Finkbine Golf Course. The Trojans finished the two-day event at even par. Kansas won the tournament blistering the course with a score of 27 under par. Illinois State was second at 8 under and host Iowa was third at 7 under.
"Pretty solid 36 holes the first day. Pretty horrible final 18 holes the second day. The wind blew 30mph and we made sloppy short game mistakes that cost us a multitude of shots.
On another note, freshman Ed Featherstone had a solid event and his best as a Trojan thus far and it was great to see that from him. Matteo finished T10 without his best and managing his way around the course. We have a few days to work on things and head to conference on Friday. We are close and next week will be a great week to put it all together."- Head coach Austin Eoff.
Little Rock's
Ed Featherstone was the Trojans' top individual finisher at 3 under in seventh place. He was tied with two others. Teammate
Matteo Cristoni wasn't far behind at two under, which tied for 10th place. Kansas' Will King was the medalist at 9 under.
