Trojans’ Men’s Golfers Pick Up Another Academic Award

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Little Rock men's golf team was one of just 75 NCAA Division I programs honored as a 2024–25 Platform Golf Team Academic Award recipient Tuesday.

The award was given to teams that achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher during the academic year. The Trojans achieved close to a 3.8 mark this school year.

"It's great to see the full team be recognized for their achievements in the classroom," Trojans head coach Austin Eoff said. "I have set the standard for what I expect, and these guys have exceeded that benchmark this season. We had great senior leadership in the classroom, and everyone else followed right behind them. I'm really proud of the effort they all put in."

This honor comes just a week after three Trojans were recognized for individual academic success.

Matteo Cristoni, Archie Smith, and Rhett South earned NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar honors for the 2024–25 season.

To be eligible for All-America Scholar nomination, a golfer must be a sophomore, junior, or senior both academically and athletically—or be receiving their associate degree in their final year of athletic eligibility. Nominees must have participated in at least 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, maintained a stroke average under 76.0, and held a cumulative career GPA of 3.2 or higher.
