Trojans Close Regular Season at Hoosier Collegiate Invitational Ahead of OVC Championship

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Little Rock men's golf team closes out the regular season this weekend, competing in the Hoosier Collegiate Invitational at The Pfau Course at Indiana University.

The two-day, 54-hole event begins Saturday and runs through Sunday, marking the final tune-up before the Trojans turn their attention to postseason play at the Ohio Valley Conference Men's Golf Championship, scheduled for April 26-29.

Little Rock returns to action following a challenging test against one of the nation's top fields at The Goodwin, hosted by Stanford. The Trojans finished 22nd in a 30-team field that included 11 nationally ranked programs, posting rounds of 297 (+10), 288 (+1) and 297 (+10) to finish at 21-over par.

That experience provided a valuable benchmark as the Trojans now look to sharpen their game heading into the postseason.

The Hoosier Collegiate Invitational features a strong 15-team field, including four nationally ranked programs. Competing teams (listed alphabetically) are: Ball State, Illinois (No. 14), Indiana, Kansas (No.40), Little Rock, Maryland, Michigan, Minnesota, Northern Illinois, Northwestern (No. 46), Ohio State, Purdue No. 42), Rutgers, Toledo, and Wisconsin.

The Pfau Course, one of the premier collegiate venues in the country, will present another strong challenge. Known for its modern design and strategic layout, the course demands precision and consistency over 54 holes.

With the regular season coming to a close, this weekend offers Little Rock one final opportunity to build momentum and fine-tune its lineup before competing for an OVC Conference title back in Indiana on the campus of Purdue University.
