Trojan Soccer Suffers 5-0 Loss At Denver

DENVER, Colo. - The Arkansas-Little Rock women's soccer team fell 5-0 at Denver on Friday afternoon. The Pioneers (7-5-2, 4-0-1 Sun Belt) remained unbeaten in conference play as five different players tallied a goal.

 

UALR (2-12-1, 1-5 Sun Belt) faced a 3-0 halftime deficit after Denver's Jessica Keller, Emily Hines and Sarah Martinez all found the back of the net for their first goals of the season. Jenna Billingsley and Katie Oates added goals in the second half to secure the win for the home team.

 

A comeback wasn't in the cards for the Trojans, who mustered just one shot on the afternoon. Denver's Danielle Wiley and Cadie Crean split time in goal en route to the shutout. Denver's Laura Mann picked up two assists in the win, while UALR keeper Marsha Stewart came up with five saves.

 

The Trojans return to action Sunday afternoon with a 1 p.m. match at North Texas.
