Box Score BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - Western Kentucky's Mallory Outerbridge scored the only goal for either team Friday night at the WKU Soccer Complex, as the WKU Hilltoppers (6-5-0, 1-2-0 SBC) topped the UALR Trojans (5-7-0, 1-2-0 SBC) by a 1-0 final. The Hilltoppers controlled the contest offensively, outshooting the Trojans 19-2 and 6-1 in shots on goal.
Following a scoreless first half that saw Western Kentucky outshoot UALR, 9-2, Outerbridge scored the game-winner in the 61st minute, taking a pass from teammate Kelsey Meyer and beating Trojan goalkeeper Michelle Pittman from just inside the 18-yard box.
The goal was Outerbridge's eighth on the year. She entered the contest tied for second in the SBC in goals scored.
In goal, Pittman stopped five of the six shots she faced while playing all 90 minutes. WKU goalkeeper Libby Stout played all 90 minutes and made one save.
Senior Christina Veasley and sophomore Holly Holland were the only Trojans to put up shots on the night, with Holland putting the one UALR shot on frame. 
WKU led UALR in corner kicks, 7-0. The Trojans committed eight fouls to the Hilltoppers' five.
Outerbridge led Western Kentucky with six shots on the night. Meyer put up three, while three other Hilltoppers attempted two on the night.
The Trojans will be back in action on Sunday at 2 p.m. against Middle Tennessee at Dean A. Hayes Stadium.
