Little Rock heads to the DFW Metroplex for the inaugural UT Arlington Invitational, being held Monday, October 22 and Tuesday, October 23 at Walnut Creek Country Club in Mansfield, Texas.

Tournament Information
The UT Arlington Invitational will be a 54-hole event, played over the course of two days at Walnut Creek Country Club – a par-72 course measuring 6,095 yards. The opening 36 holes will be played Monday, October 22, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. as competitors will play continuously. The final 18 holes will get underway with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday morning. Live scoring is available at Golfstat.com.

Tournament Field
Little Rock is one of eight teams competing in the inaugural tournament, comprised primarily of Sun Belt and Southland Conference schools. The Trojans will be joined by conference foes Arkansas State, South Alabama and host UT Arlington with Incarnate Word, Sam Houston State and Stephen F. Austin representing the Southland. Southern Utah out of the Big Sky Conference comprises the eight-team field.

Lone Star Texans
The trip to Dallas is the first of three trips for Little Rock to the Lone Star state, its most tournaments played in the state of Texas. Little Rock has played at least one tournament in Texas since the start of the 2005-06 season and will be making its first trip to the DFW Metroplex since notching runner-up honors at the 2016 ORU/SFA Spring Break Invitational in Dallas.

Senior
Emelie Blennow and freshman
Tilde Bocker paced Little Rock at the 2018 Johnie Imes Invitational in Columbia, Missouri, tying for 22nd and 26th, respectively. Blennow finished at 7-over 223, including a 1-over 73 in round one, with Bocker posting an 8-over 224 with 1-over 73s in both rounds one and two as Little Rock finished 13th overall with a 53-over 917.

Hitting the Ground Swinging
Four freshmen are on Little Rock's 2018-19 roster this year and each of them have had to hit the course swinging.
Tilde Bocker,
Sydney Scraba and
Malena Austerslaatt have each played in all three of Little Rock's events on the year, with Bocker playing at the number two position in each.
Kellie Gachaga has played in two of the first three events, and will compete in her third this weekend, as the freshman class has a combined scoring average of 77.88 on the year, led by Bocker's 75.56.

Looking Ahead
After this week's trip to Texas, Little Rock will close out the fall portion of its 2018-19 schedule by holding its lone home event of the season. The Trojans will welcome 16 schools to Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village as Little Rock will hold its 12th annual event, one which has become one of the highlights of the fall collegiate schedule. The 54-hole event will be held over the course of three days, getting underway Sunday, October 28 before concluding Tuesday, October 30.
