LITTLE ROCK- The Trojans will play their final match of the 2018 regular season this Sunday in Boone, N.C. when they take on Appalachian State in a makeup game. The scheduled matchup was canceled in mid-September due to Hurricane Florence.
Trojan Report
The Trojans are coming off another perfect weekend after wins over Troy and Georgia Southern. Last weekend's performance gives the team six straight wins and an unbeaten streak of eight games heading into Sunday's match. Despite Little Rock's recent success, Texas State put together an impressive season of their own to clinch the conference title with their win over Coastal Carolina last weekend. The Trojans have already clinched the number two seed in next week's Sun Belt Tournament. Little Rock has tied the school record for wins in regular season play with 12 and will look to break that record on Sunday.

Trojan Leaders
Jaclyn Purvine got back on the scoresheet with a brace in the match against Troy, bringing her goal total to nine on the season. The senior has also tallied 22 points this season to lead the team.
Arola Aparicio Gili received Sun Belt Offensive Player of the Week honors for the second time this season with her stellar performance over the weekend. The Spanish forward netted two goals including a late game-winning goal to beat Georgia Southern.
Last Time Out
In the first match of the weekend, the Trojans took care of business against Troy. Little Rock scored three goals in under 30 minutes to quickly assert their dominance and then pushed two more goals across in the second half to earn a deserved 5-0 victory. Georgia Southern proved to be a very scrappy and inspired side in the final game of the weekend. However, the Trojans were able to find a late winner through Aparicio Gili in the 85
th minute to seal the three points.
Scouting the Mountaineers
Appalachian State has had a very steady season posting an 8-8-1 overall record (5-4 Sun Belt). A team poised for next week's conference tournament, the Mountaineers will be looking to gain some momentum. Appalachian State currently sits in seventh place in the conference but the 4-7 spots in the tournament are all within one point heading into the final weekend. A win would give the team a significant boost in their seeding for the conference tournament. The Mountaineers are led by Kat Greer their leading scorer with four goals on the season.
Series History
Little Rock's matchup with Coastal Carolina marks the seventh in the teams' history. The all-time series is even at 2-2-2 as the teams will look to take an advantage in this year's meeting. Last season, the Trojans came out with a 3-1 win at the Coleman Sports and Recreation Complex.
Looking Ahead
Next weekend, the Trojans will head to Foley, Ala. for the Sun Belt Tournament. Their first match will take place on Oct. 31 at 4 p.m.
