LITTLE ROCK – The Little Rock Cross Country teams is in Mobile, Ala. for the 2018 Sun Belt Conference Championship. Both races will be held Saturday, Oct. 27 with the women's 5k starting at 10 a.m. CT and the men's 8k beginning at 11 a.m.
The event, hosted by the University of South Alabama, will be streamed on
ESPN+ and live results can be found
here. The course, consisting of one and a half loops for the 5k and three and a half loops for the 8k, is set up on the shore of Mobile Bay.
Little Rock's women finished 10
th overall last year and the men placed fourth at last year's conference championship.
Shanieke Watson was the top Trojan in either race, finishing sixth with a time of 17:57.6 and
Emilio Medina was the top finisher for the men, taking 41
st at 27:07.9.
Texas State took home last year's women's title and Appalachian State took home the men's championship.
