LITTLE ROCK- The Trojans face off against Arkansas State in the first round of the Sun Belt tournament for the second consecutive season Last season, the teams fought to a 1-1 draw after 110 minutes and the match would be decided by a penalty shootout. Little Rock found themselves on the winning end of the shootout and advanced to the second round.

The Trojans are coming off a loss to Appalachian State in their final match of the regular season. Little Rock took an eight-game unbeaten streak into Boone but the long travel day proved to be too much to handle as the Trojans fell 3-1 to the Mountaineers. The maroon and silver have clinched a two seed in the Sun Belt Tournament this week and will play the number seven seed Arkansas State.

Trojan Leaders
Jaclyn Purvine scored for the third time in three games with her goal against Appalachian State. This brought her overall goal total to 10, making her the first Little Rock player since 2008 to reach double-digit goals in a season.
Arola Aparicio Gili finished third in total points and points per game in conference play. The senior also finished second in goals and goals per game.
Doro Greulich tallied 38 shots during the conference schedule which was good enough for third place. The German forward also finished third in the shots per game category. Little Rock also recorded six shutouts on the season which was tied for first in the conference.

Last Time Out
The Trojans took a tough 3-1 loss to Appalachian State on Sunday after a long day on the road. Little Rock got on the board early through Purvine but fell off the pace in the second half. The Mountaineers scored following a corner to level the scored. Appalachian State took the lead after a defensive mishap on the Trojan back line and a long free kick from a Mountaineer attacker sealed the 3-1 score line.

Scouting the Red Wolves
Arkansas State had an up-down-season and found themselves finishing the regular season with an 8-7-2 record (5-5 Sun Belt). A late push from Appalachian State, South Alabama and Georgia State set the Red Wolves all the way to back to the number seven seed. Arkansas State is coming off a 2-1 loss to number three seed Coastal Carolina. However, the Red Wolves have won two of their last three games coming into Wednesday's matchup.
