Non-Conference Road Games Announced for Women's Hoops

Full 2018-19 Schedule

LITTLE ROCK – The Little Rock women's basketball team announced their non-conference road contests for the 2018-19 season on Thursday.
 
Little Rock will travel to Louisiana Tech, LSU, Tulsa, Memphis and Missouri State in November and December in the lead up to Sun Belt Conference play.
 
The Trojans will open the season by visiting former Sun Belt Conference member Louisiana Tech on Nov. 9 in Ruston, Louisiana. Last season, the Lady Techsters advanced to the first round of the WNIT and finished with an overall record of 19-12. In the Conference USA standings, Louisiana Tech tied for third with a record of 10-6.
 
After a three-game homestand, Little Rock will travel to Baton Rouge to face LSU on Nov. 25. Last season, the Tigers advanced to the first round of the NCAA Tournament and finished with an overall record of 19-10. In SEC play, the Tigers tied for fourth with an 11-5 record.
 
Once the Trojans complete another three-game homestand, they'll go back on the road for their final three non-conference games. Little Rock will start the three-game road trip by visiting Tulsa on Dec. 17 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. The Golden Hurricane finished the 2017-18 season with an overall record of 10-21. Tulsa went 3-13 in American Athletic Conference play and tied for 11th in the league standings.
 
Little Rock's final game before the holiday break will take it to Memphis, Tennessee, to face the Memphis Tigers on Dec. 21. The Tigers went 10-20 overall last season and tied for eighth in the AAC standings with a 5-11 conference record. Little Rock opened the 2017-18 season with a big 29-point win over Memphis at home.
 
The Trojans' last non-conference game will occur at Missouri State on Dec. 30 in Springfield, Missouri. Last season, the Lady Bears advanced to the second round of the WNIT and put together an overall record of 21-12. In the Missouri Valley Conference, Missouri State finished second with a 15-3 record. Little Rock defeated Missouri State 63-51 at the Jack Stephens Center last season.
