COLUMBIA, Mo. – Little Rock tied for 10th at the 12th annual Johnie Imes Invitational, posting a 51-over 915 through the 54 hole event. The Trojans jumped two spots over the final 18 holes Wednesday, posting a 14-over 302.

Sophomore
Kellie Gachaga tied for 22nd among the 78-player field with a 9-over 225, including a 4-over 76 over the final 18 holes. The 225 matches her career low for a 54 hole tournament as she finished two shots better than sophomore
Malena Austerslaatt's 11-over 227, including a 2-over 74 in the final round, tying for 35th individually.

Tilde Bocker placed third for Little Rock at 15-over 231, finishing ahead of fellow sophomore
Sydney Scraba's 21-over 237. Scraba matched Austerslaatt's 74 for the low round of the day while senior
Thea Wakeford-Wesmann closed out the Trojan scorecard with a 22-over 238.
Entering the day in 12th place, Little Rock moved up into the tie for 10th after tying for its second-lowest round score of the season. As a team, the Trojans ranked third among the 15-team field with 60 total pars, just two back of Florida International's 62.
Little Rock tied with Illinois State for 10th as the two finished four shots ahead of 12th-place Southern Illinois (55-over 919). The Trojans ended their time in Missouri six shots back of Arkansas State in ninth (45-over 909) and were eight strokes behind Missouri State (43-over 907) in eighth.
Host Missouri captured the 2019 Johnie Imes Invitational with a 4-over 868, besting second place Oral Roberts (11-over 875) by seven shots. Fresno State (17-over 881) placed third with Florida International (25-over 889) and Northern Illinois (28-over 892) rounding out the top-five.
The tournament in Missouri begins a busy month of October for Little Rock, who is in the midst of competing in four tournaments in five weeks. Up next for the Trojans is a trip to Glencoe, Alabama, competing in the Chris Banister Golf Classic. Hosted by Jacksonville State, the event will be held October 7 through 8 at Silver Lakes Golf Course.
