LITTLE ROCK – Freshman Julia Edholm has been selected as a Second Team All-Sun Belt honoree, as announced by the Sun Belt Conference on Tuesday.
A native of Stockholm, Sweden, Edholm started in all 18 games she appeared in for the Trojans. She led the team in goals scored with six on the season, two of those being game-winning goals: Little Rock's home opener against Grambling State as well as the Trojans' last home game of the year versus Appalachian State. She finished with 13 points, thanks to her six goals along with one assist. The freshman also helped the Trojans to eight clean sheets and a program-record six ties.
Though slated as a defender, Edholm was a flexible player throughout the year, showing her ability to attack, protect, and hold possession for her team. She was effective on both ends of the pitch as she was aggressive in getting to the right place at the right time, winning headers, and being able to step up when needed.
