LITTLE ROCK, AR. – Little Rock Women's Soccer capped off a historic regular season with major Ohio Valley Conference recognition, highlighted by sophomore forward Maria Schuller being named the OVC Forward of the Year. Senior goalkeeper Peyton Urban, senior midfielder Amaya Arias, and junior defender Candice Kilderry joined Schuller on the All-OVC First Team, while freshman defender Emily Nahon earned a spot on the OVC All-Newcomer Team.
Schuller's breakout sophomore campaign established her as one of the top forwards in the nation. The Little Rock native led the OVC with 12 goals and 28 total points while ranking second in total shots with 54. Nationally, Schuller sits 18th in the NCAA in goals per game, 16th in points per game, and is tied for 16th in total goals. In conference play, she finished tied for second in goals (6) and fourth in points (13), including a hat trick performance against Morehead State that tied for the second-highest single-game total in the league this season. Schuller's efficiency and poise in front of goal anchored Little Rock's attack, helping the Trojans go unbeaten in OVC play at 5-0-4.
Head coach Kelly Farrell shared her excitement for Schuller's recognition, saying, "I am so happy for Maria to be honored as the OVC Offensive Player of the Year. Maria has put in the work this year to establish herself as not only one of the biggest scoring threats in our conference, but in the country. She's grown tremendously and I know this recognition will only fuel her to achieve more down the line."
Urban closed out her Trojan career as one of the most decorated goalkeepers in program history, earning All-OVC First Team honors for the second straight season. The senior from Austin, Texas ranked second in the OVC with a .891 save percentage and third with a 0.58 goals-against average during conference play, including two shutouts. Over the full season, she totaled 69 saves, a .775 save percentage, and five shutouts, highlighted by a 10-save performance in a 1-0 road win at UT Martin. Urban ends her career holding multiple program goalkeeping records while serving as a leader for a young defensive unit.
"I'm thrilled to see Peyton recognized for the second straight season as a first team all-conference goalkeeper," said Farrell. "Peyton has been big time for us throughout her career, shattering nearly all our goalkeeping records in the process. She embraced the challenge of leading a very young backline throughout the season and came up with massive saves when it mattered most."
Arias earned her fourth consecutive All-OVC selection after commanding the Trojan midfield all season. The senior from Downey, California tallied five goals and three assists while ranking among the OVC leaders in assists during conference play. Known for her composure, consistency, and work rate, Arias was instrumental in connecting Little Rock's defensive shape to its attack, dictating tempo and providing balance on both sides of the ball.
"Amaya has been a consistent force in our midfield for four years and I'm so happy to see her cap her all-conference streak with first team recognition," said Farrell. "Amaya is critical to the way we play and does so many things incredibly well on both sides of the ball, things that often go unnoticed or don't end up on the stat sheet, so I am thrilled that the conference rewarded her with this accolade."
Kilderry's versatility and leadership were on full display this season as she transitioned from the front line, where she was an all-conference performer a year ago, to the defensive unit. The junior from Melbourne, Australia made the move to wingback to strengthen a young back line and excelled, contributing four goals and three assists while helping the Trojans secure five shutouts. Her combination of attacking skill and defensive awareness made her one of the OVC's most complete players.
"Candice embraced a big time challenge this year of moving from the front line, where she was an all-conference performer, to the back line to help bolster a really young defensive crew," Farrell said. "She's been a great playmaker for us from her wingback position and has still been able to showcase her attacking prowess. I'm really proud of her mentality in welcoming that change and am so glad to see the success she's had there."
Nahon's inclusion on the OVC All-Newcomer Team capped an outstanding freshman campaign. The Noordwijkerhout, Netherlands native stepped into a starting role immediately and quickly became a defensive mainstay. She led all Trojan field players in minutes played, a rare accomplishment for a freshman, and consistently demonstrated maturity and poise beyond her years.
"Emily has been incredible for us as a true freshman," said Farrell. "She stepped into a role where we had big shoes to fill and the transition has been seamless. She led all field players in minutes played as a freshman which I think says so much about her maturity as a player. Emily has an incredibly high ceiling and I know she will be a critical part of our defensive unit for years to come."
Little Rock finished the regular season 7-3-6 overall and 5-0-4 in OVC play, remaining undefeated in conference competition while battling for the program's first regular season championship. The Trojans' four First Team selections represent one of the highest totals in program history, underscoring the collective growth and depth that defined their 2025 campaign.
