Three Things to Know
  1. A December to Remember
Little Rock, with several new faces (see next note below), will get an early start to the 2019-20 Indoor Season by competing at the Saluki Fast Start before winter break. Saturday's meet at SIU will be just a tease of what's to come as Little Rock will return from break to compete in five meets across four states leading up to the Sun Belt Conference Indoor Championships in late February.
  2. Welcome to the Show
This will be the first meet for many as Little Rock will have 27 freshmen make their collegiate debuts Saturday – 15 on the women's side and 12 on the men's side. Only a handful of those freshmen are distance runners that competed in cross country so several Trojans will be making their first appearance in a collegiate meet.
  3. Not Just the Athletes Are New
More than just the athletes making their debut for the Trojans, several new coaches will be making their debut as well. Alan Webb and Meg Joiner have already guided Trojans during cross country but Charles Johnson (throws), Lexi Jacobus (pole vault) and Rosina Amenebede (hurdles, second stint) will all be guiding Trojan athletes for the first time on Saturday.
