LITTLE ROCK- Three new records were set for the Little Rock swimming and diving program today in the Missouri Valley Conference Championships in Colombia, Mo. After day two of the competition, the Trojans sit in sixth place with 126.5 points. Missouri State leads the pack with 278 points, but two days of competition still remains.

Lindsey Butler set a new school record in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 23.38 to earn 15 points for her team.

In the 200-yard IM,
Imre van Huyssteen was next to make history with a school record time of 2:05.90.

The third school record set on the day came from the 200-yard freestyle relay team of van Huyssteen, Butler,
Laura Ruiz Astorga and
Regan Lawrence with a time of 1:34.04. The squad finished in fourth in the event and earned a big 30 points for the Trojans.

Lea Zengerling had a solid performance in 500-yard freestyle, posting a time of 4:56.74.

With two more days of swimming left, fifth-place Indiana State has 172.5 points and the Trojans will look to improve their standing.
