DADE CITY, Fla. – Little Rock is tied for 11th among the 15-team field after the opening 36 holes of the Spring Break Shootout at Lake Jovita Golf Club. The Trojans posted a 34-over 602 over the first two rounds, led by
Emelie Blennow's 5-over 147.
2019 Spring Break Shootout Day One Results
Little Rock started off with a sub-300 round to start off the day in Florida, shooting a 15-over 299. That effort was led by a 2-over 73 from
Tilde Bocker with Blennow and
Sydney Scraba each registering a 4-over 75 over the first 18 holes.
The Trojans slipped slightly in round two, registering a 19-over 303 as Little Rock added four strokes to its first round total. Blennow had a strong afternoon round for the Trojans, finishing with a 1-over 72, as Scraba matched her 4-over 75, as did
Malena Austerslaatt.
Through 18 holes in Dade City, Florida, Blennow is tied for 25th in the individual standings at 5-over 147, three shots better than Scraba's 8-over 150 in a tie for 34th overall. Austerslaatt is one shot back of her freshman teammate, tied for 45th individually with a 9-over 151.
Little Rock's 34-over 602 is tied with Southern Illinois for 11th with the duo 10 strokes off the pace of 10th-place Oakland at 24-over 592. The Trojans enter round three with a three shot cushion on Ohio (37-over 605) and are four shots better than Illinois State (38-over 606).
Sun Belt foe Troy holds the team lead after two rounds at 3-over 571, one shot better than Florida Gulf Coast (4-over 572) and two shots ahead of host Western Kentucky (5-over 573). Samford (12-over 580) is fourth with Jacksonville (16-over 584) fifth, just ahead of a three-way tie for sixth that includes Arkansas State, Austin Peay and Ball State at 17-over 585.
Little Rock tees off Tuesday's final rounds from holes 10, 11 and 12 as the Trojans will play with Oakland and Southern Illinois in the final round pairings. Live scoring is available at
