DADE CITY, Fla. – Little Rock finished 12th among the 15-team field at the 2019 Spring Break Shootout at Lake Jovita Golf Club. The Trojans posted a 54-hole total of 57-over 909, including a final round 23-over 307.

Little Rock's effort in Florida was led by senior
Emelie Blennow, who tied for 30th overall with a 9-over 222, including a 4-over 75 in round three. Blennow finished tied for 10th overall in par-four scoring, registering a 2-over and a 4.07 average, while tying for fifth among the 86-player field with 38 pars in 54 holes.
Malena Austerslaatt tied for 45th with a 13-over 226, matching Blennow's 4-over 75 over the final round. She finished seven shots better than
Tilde Bocker's 20-over 233 and eight shots ahead of
Sydney Scraba with a 21-over 234.
Kellie Gachaga rounds out the Trojan scorecard with a 28-over 241 with
Thea Wakeford-Wesmann posting a 20-over 233 competing as an individual.
Entering the day in 11th-place, Little Rock slipped one spot in the final standings, finishing six shots back of 11th-place Southern Illinois (51-over 903) and 10 shots behind 10th-place Oakland (47-ovrer 899). Little Rock held off Ohio (59-over 911) for 12th and bested 14th-place Illinois State (62-over 914) by five strokes.
Western Kentucky and Florida Gulf Coast tied for the team title after 54 holes at 5-over 857 with FCGU defeating the Hilltoppers on a fifth-player tiebreaker. The two teams finished nine shots ahead of third-place Troy (14-over 866) with Samford (17-over 869) and Austin Peay (20-over 872) rounding out the top-five.
Little Rock returns to action next week, heading back to Texas for its third tournament in the Lone Star state this season. The Trojans will compete in Houston at the HBU Husky Invitational, being held March 18-19 at Riverbend Country Club.
