DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – A career day for freshman
Sydney Scraba highlighted the opening 18 holes of competition for Little Rock at the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Championship at LPGA International.

Scraba notched a 1-under 71 in round one and is currently tied for fourth among the individual standings, one shot off the lead shared by three players. Beginning on hole 10, Scraba opened with a 1-over 37 over the back nine, then posted a 2-under over the front nine, including birdies on holes five and six, giving her the 1-under 71.
The effort from Scraba helped the Trojans into a ninth-place tie at 23-over 311, tied with UT Arlington and one shot back of ninth-place ULM (22-over 310). The Trojans and Mavericks enter round two four shots ahead of 11th-place Georgia State (27-over 315).

Emelie Blennow notched a 4-over 76 in round one for Little Rock, sitting tied for 26th overall. Freshman
Tilde Bocker posted a 9-over 81 with fellow freshmen
Kellie Gachaga (11-over 83) and
Malena Austerslaatt (12-over 84) rounding out the scorecard for the Trojans.
Texas State holds the team lead after 18 holes with a 2-over 290, one shot better than both Troy and Georgia Southern (3-over 291). South Alabama (7-over 295) is fourth with Arkansas State (11-over 299) fifth and Appalachian State and Coastal Carolina (15-over 303) tied for sixth.
Little Rock's second round will begin in the second wave of teams to tee off from hole 10 Tuesday morning as the Trojans will play with Coastal Carolina and ULM, beginning with Austerslaatt's 7:40 a.m. CT tee time. Little Rock will tee off in nine-minute increments, leading up to Scraba's 8:16 a.m. CT start, with live scoring available at GolfStat.com.
