The distance events proved to once again be a high point for the Trojans, led by Shanieke Watson posting a runner-up finish in both the 800 and 1,500 meter runs. Watson ran a 2:16.89 in the 800, then ran a personal-best 4:33.12 in the 1,500, the fourth-fastest time recorded in the Sun Belt this season.

Watson was joined by three teammates in the top-10 in the 5,000 meter run as Vianney Sanchez (19:02.17) placed third, Hunter Paul (19:25.10) finished sixth and Hannah Manning (20:24.72) placed ninth. Anthony Puerta registered an eighth-place showing in the men's 5,000 meters, running a 17:21.70.

Little Rock's sprints also made a name for itself over the weekend in Memphis as Aaliyah Lacy finished fourth in both the 100 (11.85) and 200 meters (27.74), competing against more than 40 competitors in both events. Keshawn Andrews continued his strong 2019 season, placing fourth in the men's 100 meters (10.52).

Ka'Neisha Jackson came on strong in the 400 meter hurdles, finishing second overall with a time of 1:03.85. Helensia Green notched an eighth-place showing in the 400 meters (58.77) while Emmanuel Olie placed 10th in the men's 200 meters (22.32).

Two other Trojans finished among the top-10 in the field events as Nghia Dinh notched a runner-up showing in the men's triple jump with a personal-best mark of 14.31 meters. Nicole Edison placed eighth in the women's long jump with a mark of 5.80 meters.

After competing for six-straight weekends, Little Rock will now have a week off to rest and recoup as it sets its sights on the 2019 Sun Belt Conference Championships. The conference meet will be held in Jonesboro this year at the Arkansas State Track and Field Complex May 10-12.
