NEW ORLEANS – The Sun Belt Conference released its 2019-20 women's basketball schedule Wednesday with an 18-game slate splitting nine home games and nine away contests.

The Trojans will start off the 2020 calendar year with a trip to Texas, opening Sun Belt play at Texas State on Jan. 2, 2020 followed by a visit to UT Arlington on Jan. 4.

Following the visit to the Lone Star State, Little Rock returns home to the Jack Stephens Center to play five of its next six games at home. In that stretch, the Trojans will play four straight games at home starting with a Jan. 9 contest against Georgia Southern and ending with Arkansas State visiting the Jack on Jan. 18.

After three straight road games that includes a trip to Georgia, the Trojans return home with a pair of games in mid-February against Texas State (Feb. 13) and UT Arlington (Feb. 15). The game against Texas State will be School Day with an 11:30 a.m. tip-off.

All other games will have 6:30 p.m. tip-off times for weekday games with 2 p.m. tips on weekends. All dates and times are subject to change.

The regular season wraps up at home with Troy visiting on Mar. 5 and South Alabama traveling to Little Rock on Mar. 7.

Staying with an 18-game conference schedule for women's basketball for the fourth straight season, the upcoming league slate will keep a primary Thursday-Saturday format with league contests played against travel partners for two-game road trips to maximize rest, minimize travel times and limit missed class time.

The 2020 Sun Belt Women's Basketball Championship will once again see 10 vying for the tournament title and the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I Women's Basketball Championship. First-round games on Tuesday, March 10 and quarterfinal games on Wednesday, March 11 will be held on campus sites. The semifinals on Saturday, March 14 and championship game on Sunday, March 15 will be held at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans. The No. 1 and No. 2 seeds will receive byes directly to the semifinals, while the No. 3 and No. 4 seeds will each host a pair of first-round games and a quarterfinal game.

All nine games of the championship are slated for live coverage on the ESPN family of networks.
