Little Rock finished with a 2-2 tie in double overtime last Sunday against Central Arkansas, showcasing their growth within the young team. Several underclassmen have stepped up on both sides of the field. For more details, click here for the game recap.
Trojan Leaders
Freshman Julia Edholm still leads in goals scored for the Trojans with two, but Greulich, sophomore Natalee Geren, and freshman Mari Young have each notched one of their own as well. Morgan Smocovich continues to be an integral force in the offense this season, as the junior owns three assists. In goal, redshirt freshman Julia Curatolo now has 23 saves.
Scouting Mississippi Valley State
Mississippi Valley State holds a record of 1-2-1Â going into Thursday's match. Their top player currently is number 9, freshman Beatriz Kretteis, who received SWAC Offensive Player of the Week honors this week after collecting an assist and a goal in their sole win this season. The Devilettes lost 0-3 to Little Rock in 2018 at their home site, and have not beaten the Trojans head-to-head yet.
Scouting Southeastern Louisiana
Southeastern Louisiana plays no. 18-ranked Memphis on Thursday before traveling to Little Rock, a team that bested the Trojans by six. The Lions are currently 1-3-1 on the season, also facing a tough preseason schedule. The all-time series is as split as it could get, with each team owning three wins, three losses, and one tie. However, there has not been a matchup between the two since 2009.
