Bocker Ties Career-Low in Round Two in Alabama

MOBILE, Ala. – Sophomore Tilde Bocker tied her career low with a 1-under 71 and senior Thea Wakeford-Wesmann continues to lead the Trojans after round two of the USA Intercollegiate in Mobile. Little Rock posted a 14-over 302 over the second 18 holes and slipped one spot to 13th with a 25-over 601.

Beginning on hole 10, Bocker began her day on a good note with a birdie on hole 10, followed by another on 17 to sit even at the turn. Bocker remained consistent over the front nine, recording eight pars with a birdie on hole four, shooting the 1-under 71 to match her career low round.
 
Wakeford-Wesmann rebounded from her career low Saturday to post a 3-over 75 in round two, one shot off the opening 18 holes. She carded pars on eight of nine holes on the back nine to sit at 1-over 37 at the turn, then logged seven more pars to sandwich a pair of bogeys for the 3-over 75.
 
Wakeford-Wesmann sits atop the Trojan scorecard after 36 holes at 5-over 149, a new career-best for a 36 hole total. She holds a one stroke lead on Bocker's 6-over 150 and is four shots better than both sophomores Malena Austerslaatt and Sydney Scraba, who posted a 4-over 76 and an 8-over 80, respectively.
 
Sophomore Kellie Gachaga rounds out the Trojan scorecard at 14-over 158 following her 11-over 83 in round two.
 
After 36 holes, the Trojans sit two shots back of both Samford and ULM (23-over 599), who are tied for 11th in the team standings. Little Rock is six shots out of the top-10 with South Alabama and Grand Canyon (19-over 595) tied for ninth as the Trojans hold a three stroke lead on Lamar (28-over 604) heading into Monday's final round.
 
UAB continues to hold the team lead at 6-under 570, 10 shots better than both North Florida and Houston Baptist (4-over 580) and 11 shots ahead of Troy (5-over 581). Arkansas State and Western Kentucky (6-over 582) are tied for sixth with Murray State and Georgia State (15-over 591) tied for seventh.
 
The final round of the season-opening tournament gets underway with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start as the Trojans will start on holes 12-14. Little Rock will play with Lamar and Incarnate Word over the final 18 holes with live scoring available at GolfStat.com.
