LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock Head Women's Basketball Coach
Joe Foley announced the signing of Za'Naria Robinson.
A product of Fayetteville High School in Fayetteville, Tennessee, Robinson averaged 10.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.4 blocks per game last season as a junior as recorded 12 blocks in a single game, a mark that ranks second in Tennessee high school history. She led her team to lead the state with the most blocks and the most rebounds last year.
"We are very excited about having Za'Naria come join our program," Foley said. "She is a long athletic player that can really run the floor. She has the potential to develop into a very good player here and with her ability to block shots, she will be an inside presence for our team."
An all-district and all-region tournament selection last year, Robinson enters her senior campaign with 498 career rebounds. She was invited to participate in the "Best of the Best" Showcase in Murfreesboro in September.
"Za'Naria's natural instinct and ability to block shots with either hand is remarkable. She is a defensive game changer. I expect her to do great things at Little Rock and beyond.," said her high school coach, Holly Hoagland.
Robinson joins Mikayla Eddins in signing an NLI with Little Rock Women's Basketball in the early signing period.
Little Rock is finalizing its non-conference schedule for both the men and women as well and will announce the complete schedules in the coming weeks. Season tickets are on sale by contacting the Trojan ticket office at (501) 565-8257.
Due to the limited number of seats available in the Jack Stephens Center this season, purchasing season tickets is the only guaranteed way to ensure seats at every Trojan home game as Little Rock competes for another Sun Belt Conference title.
