The second tournament of the spring semester takes Little Rock to a familiar course as the Trojans return to Arizona for the 2020 Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational, being held Friday, February 21 through Sunday, February 23.

Tournament Information
The 2020 Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational will be a 54 hole tournament played over the course of three days from Friday, February 21 through Sunday, February 23. The tournament will be held at Rio Verde Country Club in Rio Verde, Arizona, a par-72 course measuring 6,215 yards. Each day will be a shotgun start, getting underway at 2 p.m. CT Friday, 9:30 a.m. CT Saturday and 9:30 a.m. CT Sunday. Live scoring is available at GolfStat.com.

Tournament Field
Little Rock is one of 18 teams competing in this year's event and is one of just two Sun Belt Conference schools among the field, joined by rival Arkansas State. It will be a balanced, competitive field as 13 of the 18 schools are currently ranked between 129 and 193 in the latest GolfStat rankings. Seton Hall is the highest-ranked team in the field at number 74 with the Trojans sitting at 190 in the latest rankings.

The usual five will be competing for Little Rock as the Trojan lineup will reflect their finish in the Texas State Invitational.

Trojans in Rio Verde
The trip to the Phoenix area has become a staple of the Trojan's spring season as Little Rock will compete at the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational for the 11th-straight year and the 14th time in the past 15 seasons. The Trojans have finished in the top-10 11 times, highlighted by a runner-up showing in 2007 and third-place finishes in 2006 and 2013. Last season, the Trojans placed 15th at the weather-shortened event, led by
Tilde Bocker tying for 26th overall with a 9-over 151.

Last Time Out
Little Rock finished 13th at the Texas State Invitational in Kyle, Texas February 10-11 to open the spring season. The Trojans opened the tournament with a 304 in round one, then settled into the 13th-place showing with a 78-over 942.
Tilde Bocker registered the second top-20 showing of her Trojan career, tying for 18th at 13-over 229, including a 1-over 73 over the opening 18 holes.

Heading Out West
Little Rock's yearly trip to Rio Verde marks the Trojans' longest trip of the season, covering nearly 3,600 miles round trip to the desert Southwest. The trip to Arizona marks the fifth different state the Trojans will compete in during the 2019-20 season as Little Rock will have racked up over 6,500 miles traveled following this weekend.

Looking Ahead
After a couple of weeks off, Little Rock will make the first of three trips to Florida, beginning with the Spring Break Shootout in Dade City. Hosted by Western Kentucky, the event will be held Monday, March 16 through Tuesday, March 17 at Lake Jovita Country Club.
