MOBILE, Ala. – Little Rock fired the third-lowest round of the afternoon on day two of the USA Intercollegiate, shaving 19 strokes off its opening round tally in the process. The Trojans carded a 4-over 292, jumping two spots to fifth in the overall team standings.
2020 USA Intercollegiate Round Two Results
Sydney Scraba led the charge for Little Rock with a 1-under 71 over the second 18 holes, tying her career low round. Scraba notched 15 pars, two birdies and just one bogey, including paring 11 of her final 12 holes (with a birdie on 11) to finish with the 71. She moves into a tie for 20th in the individual standings with a 6-over 150.
Malena Austerslaatt followed up her opening round 71 with an even-par 72 Sunday, registering two birdies and two bogeys with 14 pars. She is tied for third in the individual standings at 1-under 133, five strokes off the individual leader and two shots out of second.
Kellie Gachaga sits third on the Trojan scorecard with a 10-over 154, following a 3-over 75 on Sunday.
Tilde Bocker shaved eight shots off her opening round total, posting a 2-over 74, and is tied for 30th overall with a 12-over 156.
Viktoria Krnacova also shaved six strokes off her first round, posting a 6-over 78 in round two, putting all five Trojans in the 70s.
The individual efforts moved Little Rock from seventh to fifth overall, leapfrogging both Lamar and Arkansas State. The Trojans hold a two shot advantage over the Red Wolves (29-over 605) and are 19 shots better than Lamar (46-over 622) heading into Monday's final round.
Western Kentucky continues to hold the team lead, going even on Sunday to remain at 2-under 574 and holding a five shot lead on second place South Alabama (3-over 579) as the Hilltoppers (288) and Jaguars (289) were the only two teams with better round two scores than Little Rock. UAB (10-over 586) moved into third with ULM (16-over 592) and the Trojans rounding out the top-five.
Monday's final round begins with an a 9 a.m. tee time for the Trojans at Magnolia Crossing Golf Club. Little Rock will play with Sun Belt rivals ULM and Arkansas State in the final round groupings with live scoring available at
