BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Little Rock closed out the weather-shortened UAB Spring Invitational placing seventh among the 11-team field with a 55-over 631. The Trojans concluded the halted second round Tuesday morning, carding a 37-over 325 in round two.

Kellie Gachaga was the top Little Rock finisher, tying for 13th overall with a 9-over 153, marking her best tournament finish in a Trojan uniform. Gachaga posted a 5-over 77 in round two, coming off her 4-over 76 in round one, for her second career top-20 tournament showing.
Gachaga was joined in the top-20 by
Agatha Alesson, who registered a 12-over 156 to tie for 19th individually and her first career top-20 finish. She notched a 12-over 84 in round two off her even-par 72 in round one.
Malena Austerslaatt tied for 32nd individually with a 15-over 159 (79-80), followed by
Viktoria Krnacova (19-over 163) and
Tilde Bocker (33-over 177).
Sydney Scraba also posted a 19-over 163 competing as an individual.
Little Rock's 55-over 631 was one stroke better than eighth-place Marshall (56-over 632) and two shots better than ninth-place Belmont (57-over 633). The Trojans were 10 strokes back of sixth-place Jacksonville State (45-over 621) and 12 strokes behind Samford (43-over 619) in fifth place.
Host UAB captured the team title with a 25-over 601, finishing three shots better than runner-up Xavier's 28-over 604. Middle Tennessee (32-over 608) placed third with High Point (35-over 611) and Samford rounding out the top-five.
Little Rock will remain in Alabama, heading down to Gulf Shores Alabama for the Bama Beach Bash Friday, March 19 through Sunday, March 21 at Gulf Shores Golf Club.
