LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Former Little Rock basketball player Chastity Reed led a group of former Trojans in the professional ranks over the past week.
Reed (6-1/F, graduated '11, plays in Greece) led Panathinaikos to a victory over the eighth-ranked Esperides (1-3), 64-46, in the Greek A1 in a recent game. Reed was MVP of the game, recording 16 points and grabbing six rebounds. Panathinaikos Athens (15-2) is placed first in the A1. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. Reed has individually a very good year with high stats. She averages 21.0 ppg, 7.8 rpg, 3.5 apg and 1.3 bpg in the four games she played so far.
Shanity James (6-1/C, graduated '16, plays pro in Sweden) could not help Alvik Basket (20-2) in their game last Friday. Despite her performance the league leader Alvik Basket was badly defeated 87-67 on the road by the much lower-ranked Visby Ladies (No. 9). James recorded a double-double by scoring 29 points and getting 20 rebounds. She also added 2 blocks in 38 minutes. The regular season has already ended. James has relatively good stats this season 14.2 ppg, 7.2 rpg and 2.5 apg.
Yanina Inkina (6-2/F, graduated '19, currently in Belarus) contributed to an easy victory against the closely-ranked BDU Tsmoki (8-13) crushing them 99-42 in a derby game in the Belarusian Premier League last Sunday. She recorded 13 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals in 22 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top-four ranked teams. BK Gorizont Minsk (20-1) is placed first in the Premier League. It was her team's seventh consecutive victory in a row. Inkina has relatively good stats this season 13.2 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 3.0 apg.
