Trojan Lineup
Head coach
Jenna Wylie will roll out the same five for this week that competed in Georgia two weeks ago with
Agatha Alesson playing the number one position, followed by
Kellie Gachaga in the number two spot.
Malena Austerslaatt,
Sydney Scraba and
Viktoria Krnacova round out the scorecard with
Tilde Bocker competing as an individual.
Last Time Out
Three Trojans finished among the individual top-20 and Little Rock matched its second-lowest round of the season, firing a 6-over 294 to tie for fourth at the Georgia State Panther Invitational in Johns Creek March 30. Little Rock closed out the 54-hole event at 31-over 895, tied with host Georgia State for the number four spot with
Viktoria Krnacova tying for ninth individually.
Agatha Alesson and
Kellie Gachaga each placed in the top-20, tying for 12th and 16th, respectively.
Trojans in Oklahoma
Despite being a border state, Little Rock is a stranger to tournaments in the Sooner state, making its first trip to Oklahoma since the Oral Roberts Shootout in Tulsa September 30 – October 1, 2013, placing fourth in the event with a 920. Little Rock's last visit to Broken Arrow came September 17-18 2012, finishing seventh at the Dale McNamara Invitational.
Strong Showing for Viki
Freshman
Viktoria Krnacova has had a strong showing in the spring season, notching a pair of top-10 finishes and another top-15 showing. Krnacova tied for seventh at the Texas State Invitational to open the spring season, then finished tied for ninth at the Georgia State Invitationial. She has posted a 75.27 scoring average in the spring with a low round of 70 in the final round at Texas State.
Making Strides
Little Rock continues to make strides in the second season under head coach
Jenna Wylie, especially in the spring season. The Trojans have finished in the top-eight in each of the three tournaments, including back-to-back fourth-place ties that marked the program's best tournament showing since April of 2018. The Trojans shot a 895 at the Georgia State Invitational, the lowest 54-hole total of Wylie's coaching tenure, as four Trojans have posted top-10 showings with an additional eight finishing in the top-20.
Conference Tune-Up
This week's event in Oklahoma will be Little Rock's final tune up before the 2021 Sun Belt Conference Championships, being held April 18-20 in Daytona Beach, Florida.
