Trojans in the Pros Update – April 21

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Former Little Rock basketball player Chastity Reed led a group of former Trojans that went undefeated in the professional ranks last week.
 
Chastity Reed (6-1/F, graduated '11, plays pro in Greece) led Panathinaikos to a victory over the league outsider Zografou (5-4), crushing them 88-61 in the Greek A1 last Sunday. She was MVP of the game with a double-double by scoring 24 points and getting 12 rebounds. Reed also added two blocks in 32 minutes. Panathinaikos Athens (8-1) is placed second in the A1. It was her team's eighth consecutive victory in a row. Reed has individually a very good year, averaging 21.4 ppg, 8.1 rpg, 3.0 apg and 1.3 bpg in eight games she played so far.
 
Shanity James (6-1/C, graduated '16, plays in Sweden) contributed to an Alvik Basket's victory against the closely-ranked Lulea Basket (19-3), 101-88, in the Swedish Damligan on Saturday night. She recorded six points and grabbed four rebounds. It was the game of the round between two top-four ranked teams. Alvik Basket Stockholm (20-2) is placed first in the Damligan and it was her team's third victory in a row. James has averaged 13.8 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 2.4 apg and 1.3 spg this season.
 
Yanina Inkina (6-2/F, graduated '19, currently in Belarus) contributed to an easy victory against the league leader Tsmoki-Minsk (26-4) crushing them, 78-55, in a derby game in the Belarusian Premier League in Saturday night's game. Inkina scored nine points, had five rebounds and dished three assists in 26 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top-four ranked teams. BK Gorizont Minsk (20-1) is placed first in the Premier League and it was her team's seventh consecutive victory. Inkina has averaged 13.0 ppg, 4.2 rpg and 2.8 apg in 28 games this season.
