LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Former Little Rock basketball player Chastity Reed led a group of former Trojans that went undefeated in the professional ranks over the past week.
Reed (6-1/F, graduated '11, plays pro in Greece) led Panathinaikos to a victory over the closely-ranked Giannena (4-1), crushing them 72-46 in the Greek A1 on Sunday night. She was MVP of the game, registering a double-double by scoring 25 points and getting 10 rebounds in a mere 19 minutes. It was the game of the round between two top 4 ranked teams. Panathinaikos Athens (5-1) is placed second in the A1. It was her team's fifth consecutive victory in a row. There are only three games left until the end of the regular season so now every game will be critical. Reed has individually a very good season with high stats. She averages 20.8 ppg, 7.5 rpg, 3.7 apg and 1.3 bpg.
Shanity James (6-1/C, graduated '16, plays in Sweden) contributed to an easy victory against the eighth-ranked Uppsala (9-13) crushing them 84-61 in the Swedish Damligan in Saturday night's game. She scored 14 points, grabbed nine rebounds and made two blocks. Alvik Basket Stockholm (20-2) is placed first in the Damligan. It was her team's third consecutive victory in a row. James has relatively good stats this year 14.2 ppg, 7.3 rpg, 2.5 apg and 1.2 spg in 19 games she played so far.
Yanina Inkina (6-2/F, graduated '19, currently in Belarus) contributed to Gorizont's victory against the closely-ranked Nika (3-2) 70-60 in the EWBL last Sunday. Inkina recorded 10 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in 29 minutes. BK Gorizont Minsk (4-1) is placed eighth in the EWBL. This season Inkina averages 8.6 ppg, 2.9 rpg and 2.1 apg.
