LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock Head Women's Basketball Coach
Joe Foley announced the addition of Raziya "Razi" Potter to the Trojans program. Potter joins Little Rock's Team after spending the past three seasons at San Jose State.
Potter, a 5-foot-10 guard originally from California, scored averaged 9.4 points and 3.0 rebounds in her two-plus seasons with the Spartans. San Jose State canceled its 2020-21 season after four games, in which Potter started three, and she averaged 12.5 points and 3.5 boards during San Jose State's COVID-shortened season last year.
"Razi is a big, strong, physical guard that can generate a shot for herself or others," Foley said. "She can drive and get to the free throw line and finish through contact. We also like the way she played in transition. She has been a very productive player in the Mountain West and we are excited about her doing more of the same in the Sun Belt."
She reached double figures in 31 of her 65 games with San Jose State and led the Spartans in scoring her freshman season, putting in 270 points during the 2018-19 season. During her sophomore season in 2019-20, Potter scored 292 points and swiped 35 steals in her 31 games played. She posted a career-high 20 points that season in a game against Colorado State.
