Opening Draw
Little Rock opens the home portion of its 2021 season Sunday afternoon, hosting UT Martin at 1 p.m. at Coleman Sports Complex. The game against the Skyhawks will mark the first-ever Little Rock ESPN+ soccer broadcast with Graham Doty on the call.
 
Trojan Tailgate Set For Sunday
Sunday's home opener for Little Rock will mark the first Trojan Tailgate of 2021-22 for the Little Rock Athletic Department. Beginning at 11 a.m., free Loblolly ice cream vouchers will be distributed to the first 100 fans with Loblolly remaining on site during the game. Free hot dogs will be distributed as well as free autographed schedule posters to the first 100 fans. There will also be music and yard games to welcome UA Little Rock students back to campus.
 
Great Start to 2021
Goals by Astros Luckas, Mariella Stephens and Jessie Vaden, and a clean sheet from goalkeeper Paige Henry paced Little Rock to a 3-0 win over UA-Pine Bluff in the regular season opener Thursday in Pine Bluff. Luckas tallied her goal in the 21st minute, giving the Trojans the 1-0 lead at intermission, followed by Stephens in the 55th minute and the dagger from Vaden in the 73rd. Henry stopped both goal attempts from the Golden Lions, giving the Trojans their first shutout win since a 2-0 victory at ULM on October 11, 2020.

Series History vs. UT Martin
Little Rock is 3-4-2 (.444) all-time against UT Martin, seeking its first win over the Skyhawks since 2000. The Trojans earned wins in the first three meetings between the two, besting the Skyhawks 7-2 in 1998, 2-1 in 1999 and 3-1 in 2000. UT Martin then won four of the next five meetings with the two teams tying twice, including the 0-0 decision in Martin, Tennessee in 2019. The Trojans are 2-2-1 all-time against UT-Martin in Little Rock as the two teams will meet for just the second time since 2005 Sunday.
 
Year Four For Foster
Little Rock head coach Mark Foster begins his fourth season at the helm of the Trojans, boasting an overall record of 23-20-13. His .527 winning percentage ranks second in program history behind Logan Fleck's .540 mark from 1987-88, as he has also helped the Trojans become a tough foe at Coleman Sports Complex, posting a 14-5-5 (.688) record at home since taking over the program.
 
Trojans in Home Openers
Beginning its 35th season in program history, Little Rock is 17-16-1 (.515) in its home opening match. Since the 2009 season, Little Rock 9-3 (.750) in its first game of the year at home, and is 6-3 (.667) in home openers at Coleman since the facility opened in 2012. Head coach Mark Foster is 2-1 in home openers during his Little Rock career, falling to Kentucky 3-2 in double overtime in 2018 before defeating Grambling 1-0 in 2019 and defeating Texas State 2-0 in 2020.
 
Record Watch For Bergros
Fifth year defender Bergros Asgeirsdottir is well within reach of becoming the most experienced Trojan in program history. She enters Sunday's game with 72 starts in 77 games played, trailing Jane Picarelli's (2007-10) program-record 84 career games played and 83 career starts for the most games played in a Little Rock uniform. Asgeirsdottir has logged 6,693 career minutes played, less than 500 minutes away from surpassing Picarelli as the top in program history.
