Little Rock returns to action Sunday evening, taking to the turf at Coleman Sports Complex facing on Central Arkansas at 7 p.m. The game against the Bears will mark the 2021 installment of the Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield Governor's I-40 Showdown, streaming live on ESPN+ with Graham Doty on the call.

Little Rock and UT Martin battled the hot summer heat, playing a 110-minute showdown that ended in a 0-0 double overtime draw at Coleman Sports Complex on Sunday, August 22. On paper, both Little Rock and UT Martin played a very evenly matched tilt, and those results showed on the field. Both teams ended the game with 11 total shots, including five on goal for the Skyhawks and four for the Trojans. UT Martin committed 11 fouls to the Trojans' 10, with Little Rock holding a 7-6 edge in corner kicks.

With the 0-0 draw against UT Martin, it marked the 25th time in 57 games under head coach Mark Foster the Trojans have posted a clean sheet, holding the opposition scoreless. Governor's I-40 History
Sunday's game marks the fifth installment of the Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield Governor's I-40 Showdown for soccer, the rivalry series between Little Rock and Central Arkansas that began in 2018. After a pair of ties in both 2018 and 2019, Central Arkansas took a pair from Little Rock in 2020, winning 1-0 in Conway before a 2-0 win at the Coleman Sports Complex. The meeting between the two is the first meeting of the rivalry series for 2021-22 with three points on the line.

Sunday's game marks the 14th all-time meeting between the Trojans and Bears with Little Rock holding a 7-4-2 (.615) edge in the all-time series. Little Rock won seven of the first nine meetings between the two teams, including five-straight from 1999-2011. The Trojans are winless in the last four meetings, however, tying a pair before a pair of losses in 2020, as the Trojans are 5-1-1 all-time against Central Arkansas in Little Rock.
 
Solid Start For Saskia
Seeing her first action of the season Sunday, sophomore goalkeeper Saskia Wagner picked up where she left off in 2020, registering five saves and the fifth shutout of her career in the 0-0 double overtime draw against UT Martin. Wagner holds the single-season save percentage lead in program history at .807 in 2020, and currently sits at .818 with 72 career saves.
 
Record Watch For Bergros
Fifth year defender Bergros Asgeirsdottir is well within reach of becoming the most experienced Trojan in program history. She enters Sunday's game with 73 starts in 78 games played, trailing Jane Picarelli's (2007-10) program-record 84 career games played and 83 career starts for the most games played in a Little Rock uniform. Asgeirsdottir has logged 6,797 career minutes played, less than 400 minutes away from surpassing Picarelli as the top in program history.
