Change of Plans
Little Rock was originally scheduled to play a four-game road trip, but Sunday's game at Southeastern Louisiana in Hammond, Louisiana, has been postponed due to the effects of Hurricane Ida. The two teams will attempt to make up the game at a later date in the season.
On the Road
Little Rock enters the three-game road swing looking to build on its 1-0 mark in road games this season. The Trojans earned a 3-0 victory at UA-Pine Bluff in the season opener on August 19, led by goals from
Astros Luckas,
Mariella Stephens and
Jessie Vaden. The three-straight road games will lead Little Rock into Sun Belt Conference play.
Last Time Out
An early tally by Central Arkansas put Little Rock in a hole it couldn't climb out of, falling to the Bears 2-0 Sunday evening at the Coleman Sports Complex. Central Arkansas outshot Little Rock 12-4 on the night, putting seven shots on goal compared to just two for the Trojans. Little Rock registered five saves fromÂ
Saskia Wagner on the night.
Series vs. the Golden Eagles
Little Rock and Southern Miss meet for the fifth time Friday with the Golden Eagles winning the previous four meetings. The two teams met in Hattiesburgh in 2000, a 3-0 Southern Miss victory, followed by a 5-0 win for the Golden Eagles in 2001 and a 7-2 decision in 2004 in Little Rock. The two teams staged a neutral site game in Starkville, Mississippi in 2008, a 1-0 Southern Miss victory.
Trojan Stat Leaders
Heading into the fourth game of the season, Little Rock has registered three goals on the year, coming off the tallys by Luckas, Stephens and Vaden in the 3-0 win over UAPB. Stephens leads the team with nine shots, including six on goal, followed by six from
Bergros Asgeirsdottir and five from
Karina De Paoli. Defensively,
Saskia Wagner has allowed just two goals with 10 saves in 200 minutes on the year, boasting a 0.90 goals against average and a .833 save percentage.

Record Watch For Bergros
Fifth year defenderÂ
Bergros Asgeirsdottir is well within reach of becoming the most experienced Trojan in program history. She enters Friday's game with 74 starts in 79 games played, trailing Jane Picarelli's (2007-10) program-record 84 career games played and 83 career starts for the most games played in a Little Rock uniform. Asgeirsdottir has logged 6,887 career minutes played, less than 300 minutes away from surpassing Picarelli as the top in program history.
