Opening Draw
Little Rock returns to the Coleman Sports Complex Sunday, hosting Georgia Southern in a Sun Belt showdown. Opening draw against the Eagles is set for 1 p.m. and will stream live on ESPN+ with Graham Doty on the call.

Last Time Out
Little Rock's offense came alive in the second half, scoring four goals en route to a 5-0 win at Mississippi Valley State Tuesday in Itta Bena. Abril Lucio, Jana Heinen, Fanney Einarsdottir, Julia Edholm and Addison Yinger all found the net for the Trojans as the five goals are the most in a game for the Trojans since the 5-0 win against Troy on October 19, 2018. Little Rock outshot Mississippi Valley State 28-3, led by five each from Heinen and Astros Luckas and four from Lucio.

Scouting the Eagles
Georgia Southern heads to Little Rock at 6-4-1 on the year and 1-1 in Sun Belt play after falling to Arkansas State 2-1 in overtime Thursday night in Jonesboro. The Eagles are averaging 1.82 goals per game while allowing just 1.00, led by six goals each from Marcela Montoya and Elis Nemtsov. All-time, Little Rock is 4-1-2 against Georgia Southern, winning four of the last five including a 2-1 victory in the first round of the Sun Belt tournament in 2020. The Trojans are 2-0-1 all-time against the Eagles at the Coleman Sports Complex, winning 1-0 in 2018 and 3-0 in 2016 following a 0-0 draw in 2015.

No Goals For You
Tuesday's 5-0 win at Mississippi Valley State marked Little Rock's sixth clean sheet of the season, which leads the Sun Belt Conference heading into the weekend and is tied for seventh nationally behind the eight from Wake Forest and seven each from Pacific, Gonzaga, UCLA, Tennessee and Minnesota. In his 65 games as head coach, Mark Foster's squad has recorded 29 shutouts, accounting for 44.6% of Little Rock's matches.

Big Honors for Bergros
Bergros Asgeirsdottir was named the Sun Belt Defensive Player of the Week following her efforts over the conference-opening weekend. The fifth year senior scored a pair of goals – the game winner in the 96th minute against Troy and the game-tying goal in the 85th minute against South Alabama. Defensively, Asgeirsdottir played all 296 minutes in the Trojans' three games over the week and helped Little Rock limit the opposition to just one goal during that span.

In the Record Book
The Player of the Week honors for Asgeirsdottir was a fitting conclusion to a memorable week for the Selfoss, Icleand native who etched her name among the all-time leader in the Trojan record book in a pair of categories. Asgeirsdottier is now the all-time Little Rock leader in both games played (86) and minutes played 7,466, surpassing Jane Picarelli (2007-10) for the top spot in both categories. She is on the doorstep of becoming the all-time leader in another category as she has 80 career starts, three shy of Picarelli's program-record 83.

Spreading the Wealth
Little Rock has had a balanced attack this season as the Trojans' 13 goals on the year have been scored by nine different players. Jana Heinen leads the squad with three goals and a pair of assists while Bergros Asgeirsdottir and Fanney Einarsdottir have both found the back of the net twice. In the win over Mississippi Valley State Tuesday, Addison Yinger scored her first career goal while Camryn Jacobs was credited with the assist for her first career points.

Solid in Net
Freshman Paige Henry has stepped up in a big way as needed in net, posting a 4-1-1 record in her first season and allowing just three goals with 14 saves. Henry has a 0.48 goals against average heading into the weekend, ranking first in the Sun Belt and 27th nationally, with three of her four wins coming in shutout fashion. All three Trojan goalkeepers have recorded at least one shutout on the year with Saskia Wagner and Hilma Svalander each earning one as Little Rock's 0.67 goals against average ranks second in the Sun Belt and 47th nationally.

Trojan Stat Leaders
Heading into Sunday's match, the Trojans have been led by three goals from Jana Heinen and two each from Bergros Asgeirsdottir and Fanney Einarsdottir with Heinen and Abril Lucio tallying a pair of assists. Six different Trojans have taken 11 or more shots this season, led by 16 from Heinen, 15 from Mariella Stephens and 14 from Asgeirsdottir, as Stephens' 10 shots on goal leads Little Rock offensively, followed closely by the nine from Heinen.
