COLUMBIA, Mo. – Little Rock closed out its time at the 2021 Johnie Imes Invitational placing 12th at 42-over 906. The Trojans posted a 20-over 308 over the final 18 holes at the Club at Old Hawthorne in their first appearance in the event since 2019.

Viktoria Krnacova led Little Rock with a 6-over 222 through the 54-hole event, including a 3-over 75 in round three, tying for 22nd in the individual standings. She led the team in par-five scoring at even-par through the event and was 1-over on par-threes, tying for third among the 76-player field with 39 total pars over the week.
Katja Mueller posted the low round of the day for the Trojans on Wednesday with a 2-over 74, tying for 26th overall at 8-over 224. Mueller was strong over the front nine with a 2-under 34, including an eagle on the par-four eighth, ending the event at 1-over on par-threes and 4-over on the par-fours.
Malena Austerslaatt posted a 16-over 232, including a 10-over 82 in round three, while
Agatha Alesson and
Anna Dawson tied at 17-over 233. Dawson carded a 7-over 79 in round three with Alesson shooting an 8-over 80.
As a team, Little Rock ranked second among the field at 6-over on par-three scoring, led by an even-par total from Alesson and 1-over for Krnacova, Dawson and Mueller. The Trojans were also fifth among the 14-team field with 161 total pars.
Entering the day in eighth, Little Rock slipped to 12th following the 20-over 308, finishing two shots back of 11th-place Bradley (40-over 904) and four shots behind the Missouri (B) team at 38-over 902. The Trojans were 10 shots better than 13th-place South Dakota at 52-over 916.
Missouri captured the team title in its host event, firing a 1-over 865 and holding off Oral Roberts (3-over 867) by two strokes. Mercer (5-over 867) finished third with Arkansas State (25-over 889) fourth and Wichita State and Illinois State (27-over 891) tying for fifth.
Little Rock returns to action in two week, traveling to the Pacific Northwest for the 2021 Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational. Hosted by Seattle University, the tournament will be held October 11 and 12 in Tacoma, Washington.
