LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Trojans will finish out their regular season by hosting the Golden Eagles this Sunday at the Coleman Sports Complex.
Â
Matchup History:
Â
Little Rock leads, 3-0 | Last Game: Little Rock won, 2-1, on 8/21/2015 in Cookeville, Tenn. | Streak: Won 3
Â
Three Things to Know:
Â
1. Dynamic Duo from Down Under
Australia natives
Bronte Peel and
Serenity Thake combined for Little Rock's three points last Sunday against Eastern Illinois. Peel would score the lone goal for the Trojans in the 1-1 tie while bringing her total points on the season to eight which is tied for first on the team with midfielder
Amaya Arias. Thake was credited for the assist on Peel's goal, her second on the season.
2. Until Next Time, Coleman
Sunday's match will be the final Little Rock Soccer game at the Coleman Sports Complex in 2022. The Southeast Missouri win over Southern Indiana on Thursday confirmed that the Trojans will be on the road for the duration of the Ohio Valley Conference Tournament. Little Rock will travel to the home facility of the number three or four seed next week to begin the journey to an OVC championship.
3. History Repeats Itself
Each matchup between the Trojans and Golden Eagles has ended with Little Rock coming away with three points. The Maroon and Silver are 3-0 all time against Tennessee Tech with the most recent win coming on August 21, 2015. There is still a lot on the line for Little Rock going into Sunday's match with determining where the Trojans will play the first weekend of the OVC Tournament.
