Little Rock Looks to Bounce Back at Home Against Southeast Missouri

Kickoff set for 4 p.m. on Thursday at the Coleman Sports Complex

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – After dropping a match at Morehead State last Sunday, the Trojans will look to get back in the win column versus Southeast Missouri in an Ohio Valley matchup this Thursday at the Coleman Sports Complex.

Matchup History

SEMO leads, 4-0 | Last Game: SEMO won, 1-0, on 8/25/06 in Cape Girardeau, Mo. | Streak: Lost 4

Three Things to Know:

1. Into the Record Books
With her start in last Sunday's match at Morehead State, fifth-year senior Natalee Geren moved up to second all-time in the number of games played in Little Rock Soccer history. The game was the 85th that she has played in a Little Rock uniform. The Round Rock, Texas native passed Jane Picarelli (84) who competed for the Maroon and Silver from 2007-10. Geren now trails only Bergros Asgeirsdottir (96) who played for the Trojans from 2017-21.
2. Once in a Blue Moon
It has been over 16 years since the Redhawks and Trojans have faced off on the pitch. The last matchup occurred on August 25, 2006 to open the regular season, a game SEMO won 1-0. That Trojan team had even more newcomers than the 2022 Little Rock squad, 14 then to 13 now. SEMO hasn't visited the Capital City since the new millennium, last playing in Little Rock in 1999 when the Trojans called Burns Park home.
3. Traveling Trojans
For the better part of the last month Little Rock has been on been on the road. Four of the last five Trojan matches have been away from the Coleman Complex. During that span the Trojans have won three games and lost two. Now Little Rock will be at home in three of the last four regular season games to round out its first Ohio Valley Conference season.
