1. Blast From the Past
SIUE Head Coach Derek Burton is a Little Rock alumnus and played for the Trojans back when the university had a men's team in the 90's until 1996 when the program was ended. Burton went on to graduate from Little Rock in 1997 and later became the head coach at SIUE where he is in his 14th season. This will be the first time in those 14 years that Burton will get the chance to face off against his alma mater on the pitch.
2. Flip the Script
A glance at the series history between Little Rock and SIUE may appear to be normal until realizing that the Trojans are one and one versus the Cougars despite not scoring in their win. On September 7, 1991, Little Rock was "defeated" by SIUE 2-0 in Little Rock, Arkansas. However, the Cougars would have to forfeit the game later due to an ineligible player participating in the match. It has now been over 30 years since that Trojan victory and the two programs haven't played each other since.
3. Dynamic Duo
Freshman
Amaya Arias and fifth-year senior
Natalee Geren combined for Little Rock's three points last match against Southeast Missouri, with Geren assisting Arias' goal. The pair are so far the top two point-getters on this year's Trojan squad as Arias has eight and Geren has six.
