Anna Dawson Earns OVC Golfer of the Month Honors

Sophomore led Little Rock with a 74.83 average in October

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Little Rock sophomore Anna Dawson has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Female Golfer of the Month for October.
 
Dawson had a pair of strong tournaments during the month of October, leading Little Rock with a scoring average of 74.83. She notched the first career top-10 finish of her career, tying for 10th at the Little Rock Golf Classic with a 1-over 217, including an opening round 4-under 68. Dawson then tied for 27th at the Little Rock White Sands Bahamas Invitational to close out the fall season.

The Waterford, Ireland native earned OVC Golfer of the Week honors on October 19 following her performance at Diamante and ranks third on the team with a 74.67 scoring average through the fall season. Dawson has three rounds of par-or-better on the year, including the low round of 68, competing in all five events of the fall season.
 
It is the first monthly honor of Dawson's career and the first in program history since joining the Ohio Valley Conference. It marks the second-straight month a Little Rock golfer earned OVC Golfer of the Month honors as Matteo Cristoni was the Male Co-Golfer of the Month for September.
 
Dawson and the Trojans had a strong start to the 2022-23 season, posting a team scoring average of 297.72, which currently ranks first in program history. Little Rock returns to action in February, beginning the spring portion of its schedule at the Texas State Invitational February 6-7.
