Little Rock opens the spring portion of its 2021-22 schedule down in Louisiana, traveling to Covington for the 2022 Tchefuncta Invitational February 21-22.

Tournament Information
The 2022 Tchefuncta Invitational, hosted by South Alabama, will be a 54 hole tournament held Monday, February 21 and Tuesday, February 22 at Tchefuncta Country Club, a par-71, 6,004-yard course in Covington, Louisiana. The tournament will be played over the course of two days with 36 holes Monday, getting underway with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Tuesday's final round will also begin with an 8 a.m. shotgun start. Tournament Field
Little Rock is one of 10 teams competing this weekend in Louisiana and is one of four Sun Belt schools, joined by host South Alabama, ULM and UT Arlington. Entering the week ranked 147th in the latest GolfStat team rankings, the Trojans are one of six teams among the top-150, joined by Incarnate Word (No. 76), Tulane (No. 98), South Alabama (No. 119), Southern Miss (No. 127) and ULM (No. 148). Murray State, UAB, UT Arlington and Toledo round out the field.

Last Time Out
Little Rock closed the fall season tying for third at the Little Rock Golf Classic, held at Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village. The Trojans posted a 17-over 881 as three golfers finished among the individual top-15, led by
Sydney Scraba tying for eighth with a 2-over 218. She was one shot better than
Viktoria Krnacova's 3-over 219, tying for 10th, with
Katja Mueller tying for 15th at 4-over 220.

Fall Recap
Little Rock put together one of the best fall semesters in program history, boasting a team scoring average of 298.58, shooting under 300 in seven of the 12 rounds. The Trojans finished in the team top-10 in three of the four fall events, highlighted by a third place showing at the Little Rock Golf Classic at Diamante Country Club. Individually, Little Rock combined for 12 par-or-better rounds with three top-10 individual finishes.

Strong Start
Sophomore
Viktoria Krnacova and freshman
Katja Mueller posted strong starts to the 2021-22 season as the duo led the team with a 73.83 scoring average through the fall events. Krnacova posted a team-best four par-or-better rounds, including a 4-under 68 over the final round of the USA Intercollegiate, as the duo each registered a top-10 and an additional top-20 finish. Mueller tied for eighth at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational while Krnacova tied for 10th at the Little Rock Golf Classic.

Senior Experience
A pair of experienced seniors will be among the lineup in Louisiana as
Kellie Gachaga and
Sydney Scraba have combined for 171 career round played. Scraba boasts the most experience, playing 87 rounds during her Trojan career with a 78.37 scoring average, including a 73.33 mark in a pair of fall tournaments, tying for eighth at the Little Rock Golf Classic. Gachaga has logged 84 career rounds with a 77.95 average, shooting a 77.33 average during the fall.

Little Rock's 2021-22 roster will once again feature a completely international lineup as head coachÂ
Jenna Wylie will have eight players on the roster from eight different countries. This year's installment will represent the countries of Venezuela (
Agatha Alesson), Norway (
Malena Austerslaatt), Sweden (Tilde), Ireland (
Anna Dawson), Kenya (
Kellie Gachaga), Slovakia (
Viktoria Krnacova), Germany (
Katja Mueller) and Canada (
Sydney Scraba). That total expands to nine when including England where coach Wylie is from.
