Three Trojans Among Top-20 as Little Rock Sits Fourth in Nevada

Agatha Alesson leads Little Rock at 1-over 145, tied for eighth

BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Three Trojans are among the individual top-20 as Little Rock sits fourth among the 16-team field after 36 holes at the Jackrabbit Invitational at Boulder Creek Golf Club. The Trojans posted an 11-over 587 through the first two rounds, including a 2-over 290 in round two.

Little Rock opened its time in Nevada with a 9-over 297 in round one, tying for third among the team standings. That was led by an even-par 72 from Agatha Alesson, who sat tied for fourth among the individual standings. She was joined in the top-20 by Katja Mueller and Anna Dawson who each carded a 2-over 74, tying for 14th.
 
Sydney Scraba notched a 5-over 77 while Malena Austerslaatt posted a 6-over 78 to round out the round one scoring for Little Rock.
 
Round two saw Little Rock post a 2-over 290, its second-lowest round of the season behind the 288 scored in the final round of the USA Intercollegiate. That score was paced by a 1-under 71 from Austerslaatt, recovering from a sluggish round one to shave seven strokes off her opening round total.
 
Alesson tallied a 1-over 73 in round two and is currently tied for eighth in the individual standings at 1-over 145. She holds a two-shot lead on Mueller, who carded an even-par 72 in round two and is tied for 13th at 2-over 146. Dawson is the third Trojan among the top-20, tying for 20th currently at 4-over 148 following her second round 2-over 74.
 
Austerslaatt moved up into a tie for 26th at 5-over 149 following her team-best second round while Scraba is tied for 61st at 14-over 158 after a 9-over 81 in round two.
 
The second round effort has the Trojans three shots ahead of both Missouri State and Oklahoma City, who are tied for fifth at 14-over 590. The Trojans enter Tuesday's round three six shots back of third-place Middle Tennessee (5-over 581). Rutgers holds the team lead at even-par 576 with host South Dakota State sitting second at 3-over 579.
 
Tuesday's final round begins with an 8 a.m. shotgun start as the Trojans will be among the top-four teams, beginning on holes one through four and playing with Rutgers, South Dakota State and Middle Tennessee in the final round groupings. Live scoring is available at GolfStat.com.
