BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Led by top-20 finishes by both
Agatha Alesson and
Katja Mueller, Little Rock placed sixth among the 16-team field at the Jackrabbit Invitational at Boulder Creek Golf Club. The Trojans shot a 7-over 295 over the final 18 holes, closing out the event at 18-over 882.

Alesson was the top Trojan finisher, firing a 1-over 73 in round three to sit in sole possession of 15th at 2-over 218, her new tournament career low. It is the second top-20 finish of the season for Alesson and the sixth of her Trojan career, besting the 222 she shot on a pair of occasions.
Mueller joined Alesson among the top-20, tying for 20th at 5-over 221 behind her final round 3-over 75. It is the fourth-straight top-20 showing for Mueller as the 221 marks her fourth-lowest tournament total of the season. The effort by the Trojan duo marks the third-straight tournament Little Rock has had at least two finishers among the individual top-20.
Malena Austerslaatt just missed adding a third golfer to that list, tying for 22nd overall at 6-over 222 following her final round 1-over 73, tying Alesson for the low score of the day.
Anna Dawson tied for 24th with an 8-over 224, carding a 4-over 76 in round three, with
Sydney Scraba rounding out the Little Rock scorecard with a 16-over 232 behind a 2-over 74 in round three.
Alesson, Mueller and Austerslaatt all finished at even-par on par-three holes throughout the tournament with Austerslaatt pacing the team on par-fours at 3-over with Alesson tying for the tournament lead on par-five scoring, finishing the event at 7-under. She led the Trojans with 12 birdies, one off the tournament lead, with Austerslaatt carding 10.
Entering the day fourth in the team standings, Little Rock dropped two spots but registered its third-straight top-six finish of 2021-22. The Trojans held a comfortable 20-shot lead on seventh-place Chattanooga (38-over 902), finishing four shots back of Oklahoma City (14-over 878) in fifth.
Middle Tennessee took home the team title with an even-par 864, finishing three shots better than host South Dakota State (3-over 867). Missouri State (7-over 871) finished third with Rutgers (8-over 872) and Oklahoma City rounding out the top-five.
The tournament in Nevada starts a busy portion of the schedule for Little Rock as the Trojans will play in three tournaments over the next three weeks. That stretch continues in Gulf Shores, Alabama, competing at the Bama Beach Bash March 20-22.
