LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock head soccer coach
Mark Foster has announced his resignation from the Trojan soccer program. Foster has accepted the head coaching position at UT Rio Grande Valley.
In his four years with the Little Rock soccer program, Foster compiled an overall record of 29-27-19, a .513 winning percentage, along with a 15-13-10 (.526) mark in conference games. He ranks fifth in program history for career victories, second in career winning percentage, first in conference winning percentage and tied for second in career conference wins.
Foster's teams were especially tough to beat at home as the Trojans compiled a 15-7-9 (.629) record at the Coleman Sports Complex during his four seasons. He also etched his name into the record books in 2018, guiding the Trojans to program-best 13-5-4 record, including a 7-2-1 mark in Sun Belt play. Foster's team captured the Sun Belt tournament championship and made the program's first-ever NCAA tournament appearance.
"I'm thankful for Mark and for everything he gave to our soccer program for the last four years," said Director of Athletics
George Lee. "He helped establish a culture of toughness and competitiveness and elevated our program. We wish him nothing but the best as he moves on to this new chapter."
Assistant coach
Audra Larson has been named the Trojans' interim head coach as Lee works through the transition phase to select Little Rock's new permanent head coach.
