LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock head women's golf coach
Jenna Birch has announced the Trojans' 2022-23 schedule – one which will include a pair of host events in both Arkansas and the Bahamas.
2022-23 Little Rock Women's Golf Schedule
The Trojans open their inaugural season in the Ohio Valley Conference with four tournaments in the fall, making a return trip to Mobile, Alabama, for the South Alabama Intercollegiate Sept. 3-5. Little Rock will then head to New Orleans for the Green Wave Fall Classic, hosted by Tulane, Sept. 12-13.
October features the two host events for the Trojans, beginning with the annual trip to Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village for the Little Rock Women's Golf Classic, being held Oct. 17-18. The team will then turn around and head to Paradise Island in the Bahamas, serving as the host school for the Little Rock White Sands Bahamas Invitational Oct. 21-23.
Following the winter break, Little Rock resumes the spring portion of its schedule with a pair of events in February, beginning in Kyle, Texas for the Texas State Invitational Feb. 6-7. Little Rock then return to Covington, Louisiana, for the Tchefuncta Invitational, hosted by South Alabama, Feb. 27-28.
The month of March begins out west in Boulder City, Nevada, as the Trojans will once again compete in the Jackrabbit Invitational, hosted by South Dakota State, Mar. 13-14. Little Rock then returns to the state of Alabama for the second of three tournaments, taking part in the Bama Beach Bash Mar. 20-22 in Gulf Shores.
The final tune-up before the conference tournament takes Little Rock to Greenville, North Carolina, competing in East Carolina's Ironwood Invitational Apr. 3-4. The Trojans will then be among the field in its first-ever Ohio Valley Conference Championship, being held Apr. 16-18 in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
Birch returns a veteran squad in 2022-23, led by second team All-Sun Belt selection
Katja Mueller, who paced Little Rock with a 74.53 scoring average as a freshman, followed by
Viktoria Krnacova's 75.67 and
Agatha Alesson's 75.70 averages as sophomores. Little Rock seeks to build on the successes from 2021-22 as the Trojans set a new program record for team scoring average, ending the year at 301.33 with six top-six team finishes.
