Dylan Spencer Announced as New Little Rock Soccer Assistant Coach

Spencer joins Farrell and O'Hare on staff for first season in OVC

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock Head Soccer Coach Kelly Farrell announced Friday that Dylan Spencer has been hired as the newest member of the soccer program's coaching staff. Spencer, serving as an assistant coach, will primarily work with the goalkeepers.

Spencer comes to Little Rock from Motlow State where he was the goalkeeper coach for the 2021 season. He helped the Bucks to become both district and conference champions as well as reach the NJCAA National Tournament for the first time in program history. The Bucks allowed zero goals in all of conference play during the season, a testament to Spencer's coaching ability.

"I'm really excited to have Dylan join our staff," Farrell said of her newest staff member. "In filling this role, I wanted someone who was super invested in developing our goalkeepers and Dylan fits the bill perfectly. More importantly, he is a good person who is committed to enhancing the student-athlete experience for all of our players and I'm thrilled that he is a Trojan."

Prior to Motlow he served on the coaching staff at Columbia State Community College from 2019 to 2021. In his time there, the Chargers won their conference championship in both 2019 and 2020. Spencer helped in recruiting top talent to the program and aided many players in transferring to NCAA Division I and II schools to continue playing soccer.

Spencer worked as a goalkeeper specialist for Southeast All-American prior to his stint at Columbia State. There, he trained high level goalkeepers in multiple Southeast All-American ID Camp series events including the All-American Showcase in Daytona, Florida.

He has served as the head goalkeeper coach for multiple club teams including Columbia Arsenal, Camp Forest FC and Arkansas Rising. In these roles he has prepared young goalkeepers for the next level and created highlight videos for his players.

Spencer served as an assistant coach for Richland High School and helped the men's team reach their first district finals appearance in over 20 years.
