Little Rock Soccer to Take on Northwestern State in Final Exhibition Before Regular Season

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Little Rock Soccer team will take on Northwestern State in their final exhibition match before the 2022 season. The game is set to take place this Saturday at 2 p.m. in Natchitoches, Louisiana.

Three Things to Know
 
1. Getting Feet Wet
The Trojans had their first exhibition of the 2022 season last weekend at Austin Peay, where many newcomers got their first taste of Division I soccer and will look to expand their skill at the new level of play this weekend.
2. Road Warriors
This will be the second of three straight matches on the road to begin the 2022 season for the Trojans. The last time that the Trojans began the season with three road games was 2019.
3. Return of an Offensive Weapon
After not participating in the 2021 season due to injury, redshirt junior Mari Young made her return to the pitch last weekend at Austin Peay. Playing 82 minutes and registering four shots, she had the most for the Trojans on the day. Young led the program in 2020 in shots on goal with 14 and will look to continue to create scoring opportunities.
