Little Rock Soccer to Take on No. 22 Memphis to Begin the Regular Season

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. - The Little Rock Soccer squad will play the first game of the regular season at No. 22 Memphis this Thursday at 7 p.m. as the Kelly Farrell era gets underway.

1. The Trojan Wall Stands Tall
The Little Rock Soccer program has built the reputation of having a staunch defense in recent years. Over the past four seasons the team has registered 34 clean sheets in 75 games and is averaging just 1.12 goals allowed per game.
 
2. In Their First Year
Kelly Farrell is in her first year at Little Rock as the eighth head coach in program history and is the first to coach in the Ohio Valley Conference for the Trojans. Little Rock head coaches in their debut seasons have gone 46-66-8 historically and are 3-3-1 in their first games. 

3. Trojans Against Ranked Opponents
The Trojans are 0-8 all-time against ranked opponents with one of the more recent occasions being against this same Memphis team back in 2019 on a trip to Memphis. The Trojans lost that 2019 contest by a score of 6-0. Thursday's game marks the third time Little Rock has played against a ranked Memphis squad.
